El Paso to the new wave
Raél makes Latin Pop shaped by the two musical worlds he grew up in.
Born and raised in the “Sun City” of El Paso, Texas, the Mexican-American artist grew up in a bicultural household. Those influences drive his distinct blend of Latin, Mexican and mainstream Pop/R&B sounds.
Raél first appeared on the charts with “Verano,” reaching #76 on the Latin iTunes Music Charts and #41 on PopVortex’s Latin Urban and Reggaeton Songs of the Week in summer 2023. He released his debut EP, Neon, in February 2025.
Working across Spanish and English, Raél is part of a new wave of Spanglish musicians. His latest single, “Que Calor,” arrived in August 2026 with an urban reggaeton pulse and sensual lyrics centered on heat and attraction.
